Wow. I haven't updated for a while. I had the flu a few weeks ago and it really knocked me on my butt, I am finally back to feeling like myself again and have my energy back. Today marks March 1st and guess what? We are supposed to get a Noreaster that will dump anywhere from 6-12"!!! Seriously. I am so sick of winter and need warm weather and sunny skies.
Anyways, I am still working on some new work and very pleased despite the fact that I was sick for a good chunk of the past month. I also wanted to let you know that I will be a part of S.W.A.N. again this year! I am so excited because the bill is even bigger and better this year! What's better than a room full of talented and beautiful women?? I don't think anything beats that. Check out this EVENT
Also, check out this event featuring the work of Chris Uminga. Coming up March 13 at David Apuzzo Photography Art Gallery! http://davidapuzzophoto.blogspot.com/
For the past week I have been hard at work trying to finish up the new Spring 2009 line. I won't be launching the new line for another month or so but I'm really excited about it and wanted to give you a sneak peak of what's to come.
The new line will consist of lots of color. Vibrant and somewhat loud. And the theme is 80's, with a modern edge to it. So here is a little preview of the new work....
I am going back to school!
Although I already graduated with a degree from a 4 year college, there is something I have been putting off doing for the past year. I've learned to go after what you want in life and never have any regrets, and I have reretted not doing this...
I am going to school fulltime for hairdressing! This means I have to rearrange my work schedule and money will be a little tight this year. But I will complete the program in a year and it will be well worth it. I enjoy being creative and I feel this is another outlet for me to express myself and inspire others. I have been cutting/coloring my own hair for the past 2 1/2 years but I think there is still so much more I can learn and experience. I will be starting in March and couldn't be more excited!
I will still be working on jewelry and I promise I will update as much as I can and post new work. I don't want my work to suffer because of my busier schedule and I don't really think it will. This past year has been such a growing experience for more self discovery and I feel as though I have made some positive changes for my future. My life is finally in order mainly because I have been putting myself first and aggressively pursuing my goals. And because my plate will be a bit fuller this year with school, i will work that much harder on creating jewelry. To take advantage of every minute of the day is vital. And I think about how much more can get accomplished by shutting off the tv, or not sleeping in as late. Always be productive and you will feel so much better about yourself and accomplish more.
I"m back! That's right, I know it's been a while since my last blog update, but I took a much needed break over the holiday season. I've been busy like the rest of the world shopping for Christmas gifts, but I also made many of my gifts this year. So due to the crunch before the holiday I was furiously painting, decoupaging, and beading.
I had a pretty rockin' holiday and can't complain, but it's time to get back to work! I hope you had a great holiday as well and spent it with your loved ones.
I will be posting new work soon. Until then I will be offering 25% OFF anything in my store using this coupon code: NEWYEAR
Enjoy
xxo
If you're in the CT area, or plan on traveling in the area, make sure you check out this great Holiday Spectacular, put on by the CT Etsy Street Team. These ladies have put on some really awesome shows in the past and I'm really excited to be part of this one!
"The CT Etsy Street Team is a group of small business owners from around the state, who are predominantly women. As a team, they hope to interest the public with their individual wares, as well as steer people away from products that are mass-produced while also trying to make Etsy a household name."
So please come out and support handmade! You'll find some neat/unique gifts for the holiday season without breaking the bank!
Well I have finally found some time to take pictures of some new jewelry I've been working on. I am also now on Esty!!!!
Check out the new work in the gallery or purchase some on etsy!!!!

Brutal. It is sooo cold. In case you don't know me well enough, I despise the weather when it gets below 70 degrees. I just got in from painting some new works. I can't paint inside due to the fumes, so I have to go outside to the shed. A few quick coats and I run (literally) as fast as I can back into the house. I've been doing these little runs for each coat for the past hour.
This morning I went for a long hike in the woods, but I was constantly moving and running so I was actually hot. But now I am home and I hate being cold! Buut it will not keep me from working!!!! I apologize for the delay in new work and lack of updates, but I am back on track!
Unfortunately I will not be able to participate in the Philly show this coming Saturday. I will be attending a memorial service instead.
Well it has been over 2 weeks since my last post. You probably are wondering if I got lost somewhere in Vegas, since my last post was before I left. Buuut, I am indeed home and enjoyed my mini vacation away from the east coast.
Anyways, I have been super busy lately while helping my boyfriend with his new photography studio. It is finally finished, and looking fabulous of course. The last of the new flooring was put in last week and the official studio opening was held this past Saturday. It was a great success, with many friends and family coming to show their support. Despite the monsoon-like weather, I had an awesome time seeing some old friends and sipping on wine.
Now it's time for me to get back to business and post some more work! I still have to take some pics of the new stuff, but I will work on it asap!!
Check out some pics from the David Apuzzo, Photography Studio Opening!!!!!
Well it's been another busy week. I had the pleasure of being part of a really neat avant garde photo shoot alongside one of my very good friends. You will be seeing some of those photos in the next few weeks. I am very excited about the theme and can't wait to post them!
Yesterday I went apple picking to kick off the autumn season. It was a perfect fall day. I picked a bunch of apples and bought some cider and cider donuts, which I immediately enjoyed as soon as I arrived home. Today I am leaving for Las Vegas to relax for a few days. So that means that orders will not be shipped until this coming Friday. I am leaving the laptop behind, mainly because I am trying to bring as little as possible. So if you email me, I will respond asap when I return home.
Hello kitties!!
Yes it is officially October 1st! And this is when I start getting really excited about fall and hoodies and tall socks and Halloween and crisp leaves and cider and pumpkins and fall scents....ahhh I could go on for a few more paragraphs but I will refrain. Anyways.....there are a few things going on this weekend to kick off the new month...
