Happy Saturday! Here's a necklace I recently made for my friend's birthday. It's a simple, vintage design that is made to sit just below the collar bone. I like the pewter, almost tarnished look of the birds, contrasted by the bright yellow bumble bees, which were actually cute little buttons. She enjoyed it and I hope you will too!

Hello, again!! So here's another post in the same week...I'm going to try to update a few times a week to keep you in the loop of what's going on. As I've stated in a recent blog, I will be posting new work very soon, and there are so many goodies coming your way, I am soo excited! I'm working hard these days to put together a new collection. I know I said The Vicious Kitty would be focusing mainly on custom orders, but I still can't resist making some little trinkets on the side. Think colorful and big jewelry... So keep an eye out!

I am also a hairstylist, so a photoshoot is in the works that will fuse my new jewelry with some funky hairstyles. And in the next few months I will be launching a new fashion project and yours truly will be available for styling events.

Well it's off to bed...it's sooo cold here. What is with New England weather lately?

p.s. Please keep sending me pics of you wearing my jewelry, you just might make it into the gallery!! :)

Custom Orders 10/11/2009

Well it's already October, and we are well into fall. Before you know it, Christmas will be here along with the new year. With the tough economy it can sometimes be hard to find that perfect, personalized gift for our friends and family. Maybe this year you should try a handmade, unique gift that can't be found in a department store.

I am now happily accepting custom orders for the holiday season. You make think it's a little early but the holidays sure do creep up on us fast, and I want to make sure I can get you your customized order in time for Christmas. So if you see something you like in the gallery, let me know or if you would like to build your own custom piece, send me an email for a quote!

Get your orders in early to ensure prompt delivery and a stress free shopping season :)

Check out these fancy little earrings I have just added to the store and are the featured item of the week. That means if you purchase a pair this week, you will receive a free gift with your order! Who doesn't like free stuff?!!

Did I mention that I am also having a super summer sale blowout?! That's right, EVERYTHING in the store is 30% OFF! Just use this discount code when checking out: SUMMER30.

90 days ago... 05/31/2009

So it's been a long time since I have had a formal update. 3 months. I apologize for lack of updates and new work, but I have been extremely busy now that I am going to school and working. I am still working on jewelry but mainly focusing on custom orders as they come in. I know in the past I have posted new lines/themes for the spring, summer, fall, etc. but right now I don't have the time to work on such intense projects. I really wish I could.

All I can say is that I will post new work when I can, and will put more energy into custom orders. So if you see something in the gallery or have an idea, please feel free to contact me. I am by no means taking a break from creating new jewelry, just slowing down a bit for the next few months.

Although I am slowing down, the future of The Vicious Kitty looks to expand. Since I am attending school for cosmetology, I am looking forward to launching a new fashion project fusing jewelry and hairstyling. I'll keep you up to date as soon as it begins to take form. Thanks for your support!

Wow. I haven't updated for a while. I had the flu a few weeks ago and it really knocked me on my butt, I am finally back to feeling like myself again and have my energy back. Today marks March 1st and guess what? We are supposed to get a Noreaster that will dump anywhere from 6-12"!!! Seriously. I am so sick of winter and need warm weather and sunny skies.

Anyways, I am still working on some new work and very pleased despite the fact that I was sick for a good chunk of the past month. I also wanted to let you know that I will be a part of  S.W.A.N. again this year! I am so excited because the bill is even bigger and better this year! What's better than a room full of talented and beautiful women?? I don't think anything beats that.  Check out this EVENT

Also, check out this event featuring the work of Chris Uminga. Coming up March 13 at David Apuzzo Photography Art Gallery!  http://davidapuzzophoto.blogspot.com/

Sneak Peak 01/25/2009

For the past week I have been hard at work trying to finish up the new Spring 2009 line. I won't be launching the new line for another month or so but I'm really excited about it and wanted to give you a sneak peak of what's to come.

The new line will consist of lots of color. Vibrant and somewhat loud. And the theme is 80's, with a modern edge to it. So here is a little preview of the new work....

I am going back to school!

Although I already graduated with a degree from a 4 year college, there is something I have been putting off doing for the past year. I've learned to go after what you want in life and never have any regrets, and I have reretted not doing this...

I am going to school fulltime for hairdressing! This means I have to rearrange my work schedule and money will be a little tight this year. But I will complete the program in a year and it will be well worth it. I enjoy being creative and I feel this is another outlet for me to express myself and inspire others. I have been cutting/coloring my own hair for the past 2 1/2 years but I think there is still so much more I can learn and experience. I will be starting in March and couldn't be more excited!

I will still be working on jewelry and I promise I will update as much as I can and post new work.  I don't want my work to suffer because of my busier schedule and I don't really think it will. This past year has been such a growing experience for more self discovery and I feel as though I have made some positive changes for my future. My life is finally in order mainly because I have been putting myself first and aggressively pursuing my goals. And because my plate will be a bit fuller this year with school, i will work that much harder on creating jewelry. To take advantage of every minute of the day is vital. And I think about how much more can get accomplished by shutting off the tv, or not sleeping in as late. Always be productive and you will feel so much better about yourself and accomplish more.

I"m back! That's right, I know it's been a while since my last blog update, but I took a much needed break over the holiday season. I've been busy like the rest of the world shopping for Christmas gifts, but I also made  many of my gifts this year. So due to the crunch before the holiday I was furiously painting, decoupaging, and beading.

I had a pretty rockin' holiday and can't complain, but it's time to get back to work! I hope you had a great holiday as well and spent it with your loved ones.

I will be posting new work soon. Until then I will be offering 25% OFF anything in my store using this coupon code: NEWYEAR

Enjoy
xxo

If you're in the CT area, or plan on traveling in the area, make sure you check out this great Holiday Spectacular, put on by the CT Etsy Street Team. These ladies have put on some really awesome shows in the past and I'm really excited to be part of this one!

"The CT Etsy Street Team is a group of small business owners from around the state, who are predominantly women.  As a team, they hope to interest the public with their individual wares, as well as steer people away from products that are mass-produced while also trying to make Etsy a household name."

So please come out and support handmade! You'll find some neat/unique gifts for the holiday season without breaking the bank!
