Well I have finally found some time to take pictures of some new jewelry I've been working on. I am also now on Esty!!!!
Check out the new work in the gallery or purchase some on etsy!!!!

Brutal. It is sooo cold. In case you don't know me well enough, I despise the weather when it gets below 70 degrees. I just got in from painting some new works. I can't paint inside due to the fumes, so I have to go outside to the shed. A few quick coats and I run (literally) as fast as I can back into the house. I've been doing these little runs for each coat for the past hour.
This morning I went for a long hike in the woods, but I was constantly moving and running so I was actually hot. But now I am home and I hate being cold! Buut it will not keep me from working!!!! I apologize for the delay in new work and lack of updates, but I am back on track!
Unfortunately I will not be able to participate in the Philly show this coming Saturday. I will be attending a memorial service instead.
Well it has been over 2 weeks since my last post. You probably are wondering if I got lost somewhere in Vegas, since my last post was before I left. Buuut, I am indeed home and enjoyed my mini vacation away from the east coast.
Anyways, I have been super busy lately while helping my boyfriend with his new photography studio. It is finally finished, and looking fabulous of course. The last of the new flooring was put in last week and the official studio opening was held this past Saturday. It was a great success, with many friends and family coming to show their support. Despite the monsoon-like weather, I had an awesome time seeing some old friends and sipping on wine.
Now it's time for me to get back to business and post some more work! I still have to take some pics of the new stuff, but I will work on it asap!!
Check out some pics from the David Apuzzo, Photography Studio Opening!!!!!
Well it's been another busy week. I had the pleasure of being part of a really neat avant garde photo shoot alongside one of my very good friends. You will be seeing some of those photos in the next few weeks. I am very excited about the theme and can't wait to post them!
Yesterday I went apple picking to kick off the autumn season. It was a perfect fall day. I picked a bunch of apples and bought some cider and cider donuts, which I immediately enjoyed as soon as I arrived home. Today I am leaving for Las Vegas to relax for a few days. So that means that orders will not be shipped until this coming Friday. I am leaving the laptop behind, mainly because I am trying to bring as little as possible. So if you email me, I will respond asap when I return home.
Hello kitties!!
Yes it is officially October 1st! And this is when I start getting really excited about fall and hoodies and tall socks and Halloween and crisp leaves and cider and pumpkins and fall scents....ahhh I could go on for a few more paragraphs but I will refrain. Anyways.....there are a few things going on this weekend to kick off the new month...
Come hang out with me at:
David Apuzzo Photography and Art Gallery
4133 Whitney Ave. Hamden, Ct 06518
David is opening the doors to his new studio for a sneak peek! Come check out some of his new work and see in person what he's been working so busily on the past few months!
I will be displaying my work in the new studio along with ADAPT Art and I couldn't be more excited! I am very proud of Dave and he has put countless hours into the new studio. Plus he is SUPER talented in case you haven't noticed, and his work is even more incredible to see in person.
Ok, so after a week long hiatus, I am back! It has been a busy past few weeks and I really needed a week off to relax. After the 2 shows last weekend I was exhausted. All the preparation and running around the week before had finally caught up to me. I had my wisdom teeth taken out early this morning and surprisingly I have only taken one pain killer!! (It is currently 10:30pm) I still took it easy; ate lots of pudding, jello, and soup and watched a movie. So now it is officially time to get back to being busy. Hopefully tomorrow will not be the day the pain kicks in...
Anyways, I have a few pics from the stART on the Street art festival in Worcester, Ma from Sunday. Overall I had a great time at both shows and met some new and interesting people. So if you stopped by to say hello or pay me a compliment then Thank You! I had the pleasure of sharing a booth with the very talented David Apuzzo and to the right of us was another talented artist, James Polisky. Make sure to check out their amazing work!
I will be posting new work in the next few days, so stay tuned!!
Today was the first of two shows this weekend and I'd say it went 'ok'. We had a Saturday Market today at Bristol A.R.C., where I currently work. It was fun to see all of my co-workers outside of a work situation as well as all of their own craftiness. It was soooo cold when I first got there in the morning, but by early afternoon I was peeling off 3 layers of clothing. My co-worker, Kelly set up her sparkly jewelry and she did very well considering it was her first show! I did ok, sold a few things and I am looking forward to tomorrow's show in Worcester, MA. I have oodles of new work so if you happen to be attending stART on the Street then lucky for you, you have first dibs. I will try to post the new work as soon as I can and some pics from this past weekend.
Finally, I'd just like to thank my friends who came out today to show some support! You know who you are, so thank you!!
So it has been a busy and tiresome week, and I apologize for the lack of updates. Anyways, I have added a few upcoming shows to the 'shows' section and one of them includes City Wide Open Studios. This will be my second year that myself and boyfriend (www.davidapuzzo.com) will be participating.
"Over the past eleven years, CWOS has drawn thousands of visitors to explore New Haven’s neighborhoods while discovering artists, galleries, and revamping perceptions of the city.
This year CWOS features one big festival weekend, October 2 – 5, activating five neighborhoods in New Haven with local artist's open studios, temporary open space studios and 15 artists-in-residence in each community.
Centrally located in downtown New Haven, Artspace hosts a main City Wide Open Studios exhibition, featuring the work of 150 artists highlighting the best CWOS has to offer. New this year will be the addition of a printed CWOS Artist Directory, featuring a full-page artist profile on each participant, available at Artspace year-round as a lasting guide to CWOS artists." (www.cwos.org)
Last year the artists were provided one central location to display their work at a local middle school. It was really neat because the school wasn't being used so all the rooms were completely empty and we were able to transform the rooms into our personalized art space. This year is a little different. We were given the opportunity to find our own individual location/studio to show our work. Well David will be opening his studio in early September so we decided we would invite a few other artists to join us to display their work. There will be a shuttle service to visit various locations throughout the New Haven area. If you are interested in or would like more info about the show visit www.cwos.org
Today really felt like a fall day. From the time I left for work it was a little cool out and remained so into the evening. It was kind of nice, but at the same time I realized summer is almost over! It went by so quickly, but I am looking forward to fall and apple cider and pumpkins and Halloween. I'm really looking forward to the fall this year.
I sat outside after collecting various supplies for some new work. It was so relaxing with the swift breeze and cool air that I had an extra nudge from creativity. I'm really proud of my work in the past few months and feel positive. I've been avoiding turning on the TV at night to veg out and have been putting my energy into other productive ventures. I'm in a really calm and positive place in my life and I feel confident it will reflect in my work...
Well, I guess that's enough rambling for today...night night!!!!
xoxo
B.
Well I've been pretty busy this past week and I thought I would update you with what's been going on. One of my friends got married this past Saturday and it was weird that someone in my inner circle was getting hitched. I've been to quite a few weddings but none were for my close friends. I guess I feel like my friends and I are getting old, lol. On Sunday my boyfriend and I went to a Mets game @ Shea Stadium, it was the last time I would step foot in the stadium, since the new one is opening next year. It rained a bit, but I was able to get through the game with the always enjoyable oversized hot dog...
Anyways, despite being busy lately I've been able to still push out orders and am getting more work done than ever. I will probably post some of the stuff I worked on sometime next week. I will be updating the shows section as soon as I confirm dates, so I hope I can see some of you at future shows!
Here are a few pictures from my crazy weekend!
